The Finalists for the Award for 2018 are chosen

The jury of the Dimitrije Bašičević Mangelos Award whose members are Vjera Borozan (art historian and curator, director of the National Museum of Montenegro), Jelena Mijić (artist, winner of "D.B. Mangelos" Award in 2017), Milica Pekić (art historian and curator, Kiosk - Platform for Contemporary Art, Belgrade), Dušan Savić (freelance curator, Belgrade) and Stevan Vuković (art theorist, Belgrade) have selected 5 finalists for 2018 and those are (in alphabetic order): 1. Dejan Clement 2. Nadežda Kirćanski 3. Dejan Marković 4. Dušan Rajić 5. Ivana Ranisavljević The second selection round and the interviews with the finalists (in Serbian and English) will take place on July 2, 2018. Ilija and Mangelos supports the "Dmitry Bašičević Mangelos", award, given to the best young visual artists in Serbia since 2002, the award was established by the Center for contemporary art in Belgrade, and The Foundation for a Civil Society (FCS) from New York as part of a regional project Young Visual Artists Awards (YVAA) with the idea of establishing of annual award consisted of an artist residence in America. The award carries the name of Dimitrije Basicevic Mangelos “significant artist, founder of the conceptual art practice and art historian from the territory of former Yugoslavia.” (taken from the web-site of the award)

Foundation actively participates in the organization of this award.

Award Committee Dimitrije Basicevic Mangelos is formed out of representatives from the following institutions: the Museum of contemporary art, Belgrade, Museum of contemporary art Vojvodina, Novi Sad, Ilija and Mangelos Foundation, Novi Sad, Remont, Belgrade, DEZ.ORG, Belgrade, Kuda.org Novi Sad and Civil society Foundation, New York (FCS).
